WD’s Room on Lockdown

A cartoon of WD, a blind man in his late 60s, sitting in his room with a smile, while housekeepers clean around him with frustrated expressions.

Part 1: “Meet WD, the Blind Casanova”

WD wasn’t your average resident. A blind white man in his late 60s, he had an undeniable charm—especially when it came to the ladies. Sweet, soft-spoken black women were his favorites, but harsh voices? Forget about it. He judged you based on how your voice “sounded,” and if it didn’t pass his vibe check, you were dismissed.

Walking into WD’s room was like walking into a wall of ammonia. The man was notorious for missing the toilet and leaving puddles everywhere. The housekeepers hated him, and honestly, so did the floors. But hey, at least he didn’t leave other “surprises” around. He lived on the lockdown unit not because he was crazy, but because he mostly didn’t get along with anybody. Every roommate they tried to pair him with ended up getting punched, so WD had his own room… until Faceoff moved in.

Faceoff’s Arrival

Part 2: “Enter Faceoff”

Faceoff, as we called him, was the new guy. Half his face was missing from an old injury, and he wasn’t exactly easy on the eyes. Unfortunately, Faceoff wasn’t crazy either, but because of his appearance, he got thrown into the lockdown unit.

When they moved Faceoff into WD’s room, it was only a matter of time before things got interesting. WD didn’t even know he had a new roommate—at least not until one fateful night.

The Bathroom Mix-Up

A cartoon of WD swinging at Faceoff, who is holding his bleeding nose, while the bathroom door is wide open in the background.

Part 3: “The Bathroom Incident”

One night, WD woke up and needed to use the bathroom. Being blind, he felt his way around the room. Unfortunately, Faceoff’s bed was right by the bathroom door, and WD, unaware of the new setup, accidentally started feeling up Faceoff.

Faceoff yelled, “Whoa, man! There’s someone else in here with you!”

WD, already confused, shouted back, “I just need to get to the bathroom!”

Faceoff, trying to help, reached out to guide WD, but WD wasn’t having it. In a panic, WD swung at Faceoff and landed a solid punch right on his nose. Faceoff came running out of the room, nose bleeding and shouting, “WD hit me! WD hit me!”

WD’s Karate Stance

Part 4: “WD Goes Karate Mode”

I ran into the room to find WD standing in a full karate stance, a shirt tied around his head like a ninja headband.

“WD, what are you doing?” I asked, trying not to laugh.

He relaxed as soon as he heard my voice. “Oh, it’s just you. I thought they were sending more people in here to mess with me!”

I couldn’t hold it in anymore—I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. WD might have been blind, but he wasn’t letting anyone get the upper hand.

Peace Restored

Part 5: “The Aftermath”

Despite the chaos, WD was as sweet as ever the next morning. Faceoff, however, requested to move out immediately. Who could blame him? Sharing a room with WD was a contact sport.

WD might have been blind, but he had vision when it came to protecting himself—or at least, that’s what he believed.
