A stylish, carefree CNA named Keisha struts confidently into the nursing home, clearly late for her shift. She’s rocking her braids, holding her bag, and moving like she’s unbothered by the time. In the background, another staff member (Coco) watches with a raised eyebrow, signaling that the higher-ups are already noticing her tardiness. The cartoon-style illustration captures the humor and relatability of real-life nursing home dynamics, where someone is always strolling in late but acting like they’re right on time.
Keisha Strolling In Late to Nursing Home

The Late Arrival

It was almost 9 a.m., and the halls were already buzzing with drama. Karen was halfway through her morning rounds when she heard the telltale click-clack of heels and smelled a cloud of Bath & Body Works mist.

Keisha had finally arrived.

“Girl, you know you late,” Coco whispered as she popped her head out of a resident’s room. “Management got eyes on you today.”

Keisha rolled her eyes, adjusting her purple hair like she was walking a runway. “Chile, they’ve been watching me since I started. Bills gotta be paid, so they better get used to me clockin’ in on Keisha Time.”

Karen shook her head from down the hall. Same Keisha, different day.

The Warning

In the breakroom, the gossip was loud. Two CNAs whispered that the DON was planning to “make an example” out of Keisha. Another swore the administrator had already told payroll to cut hours.

But Keisha wasn’t fazed. She leaned back, scrolling through her phone, and said, “They can’t fire me — who else gon’ deal with Mr. Thompson and his fake chest pains every 30 minutes?”

Everyone laughed, but Coco leaned in and said seriously, “Nah, for real, watch your back. Today might be different.”

The Twist: Keisha’s Hall from Hell

When Keisha finally got to her hall, the real test began. Every call light seemed to be going off at the same time. Residents were fussing, aides were looking for missing supplies, and one family member was demanding to speak to the nurse immediately.

Keisha smirked. “See, this is why I don’t rush. Drama was gon’ be here whether I was on time or not.”

But then Karen’s voice came in with her classic narration:

“Little did Keisha know… the real drama was still waiting for her. And this time, she couldn’t stroll her way out of it.”

The Cliffhanger

The lights flickered. A resident screamed down the hall. And Keisha froze, realizing maybe — just maybe — today wasn’t business as usual.

Karen’s voice closed it out: “Stay tuned, because Keisha about to learn… being late is the least of her problems
