A CNA with an annoyed expression, rolling her eyes while holding a clipboard. In the background, a nurse and a family member are talking down to her, while she has a thought bubble that says, “Oh, so I signed up to be y’all’s punching bag too??” The tone is humorous but relatable.

You Signed Up for This Job” – Oh Really?

Every CNA has heard it:

💬 “Well, you signed up for this job.”
💬 “If you don’t like it, quit.”
💬 “It’s just part of being a CNA.”

Excuse me??! No, I signed up to help people, NOT to be overworked, ignored, and treated like disposable gloves.

We’re out here:
✔️ Running up and down hallways all day 🏃🏾‍♀️💨
✔️ Lifting residents bigger than us with NO help 🏋🏾‍♀️
✔️ Answering 20 call lights at once 🚨
✔️ Dealing with nurses who act like we’re invisible 👀
✔️ Getting yelled at by family members for stuff out of our control 😤

Yet, we’re told to “just deal with it.”

CNAs Do More Than Just “The Dirty Work”

People love to act like all we do is wipe a. Let’s set the record straight.

We’re also:
💖 Therapists – because residents love to spill ALL the tea. ☕😂
💪🏾 Personal trainers – because lifting patients is a whole workout.
🎤 Entertainers – because a lot of residents just need someone to talk to.
🥼 Mini-nurses – because we’re the first ones to notice changes in a patient’s condition.

We do WAY more than people give us credit for.

A CNA holding a tray of food with one hand, adjusting a resident’s pillow with the other, while also answering a call light with her foot. In the background, a patient is happily gossiping, and a nurse is just standing there doing nothing. The scene is funny but realistic, showing how CNAs juggle 50 tasks at once.

If You Don’t Like It, Just Quit” – Like It’s That Simple

People say, “If it’s so bad, just quit.” Oh, okay—so who’s gonna do the work then??

The real reason CNAs don’t quit is because we actually care about our residents. We stay because:
❤️ Some of these residents have NO ONE else.
💔 Some cry when we leave for our days off.
💪🏾 We actually want to make a difference in their lives.

But let’s be real. Caring doesn’t mean we should be treated like we’re less than.

A hospital completely falling apart, with call lights going off, patients confused, and a nurse looking clueless because no CNAs showed up. In the foreground, a CNA is walking out the door, waving goodbye with a smirk. The tone is humorous but makes a point—without CNAs, healthcare doesn’t function.

CNAs Deserve More Respect – PERIOD.

CNAs are the backbone of healthcare, and it’s time people start treating us like it.

💡 Stop looking down on us.
💡 Stop expecting us to do everything with no help.
💡 Stop treating us like we don’t matter.

Because at the end of the day, hospitals, nursing homes, and facilities do NOT run without us. 💯

A CNA standing confidently with her arms crossed in the middle of a hospital hallway. Behind her, nurses, doctors, and admin look panicked because they don’t know what to do without her. The CNA has a slight smirk, knowing she’s the real MVP of the hospital. The tone is empowering.
