Working in a nursing home is no joke. CNAs and nurses know firsthand the physical and emotional demands of the job. But you know what makes it even harder? Administrators who act like they run the floor but wouldn’t last a shift if they had to do our job.

The Real Backbone of the Nursing Home

Let’s be real—if CNAs and nurses walked out today, the entire facility would crumble. We are the ones lifting, turning, cleaning, feeding, and caring for residents 24/7. But somehow, some administrators seem to think barking orders from behind a desk makes them the MVPs. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

Respect the People Who Actually Do the Work

It’s crazy how administrators will complain about short staffing but still talk down to the people actually keeping the place running. Maybe if y’all treated staff with respect, more people would stay. Instead of power-tripping, how about stepping in to HELP when things get rough?

You Can’t Do Our Job

We’ve all seen it: an administrator tries to “help out” for five minutes and looks like they’re about to pass out. Y’all wouldn’t last a single shift. So why the attitude?
